Oh the new vanity!

A vanity is an important part of any primary bathroom—where you style your hair, put on makeup, and unwind with your evening skincare routine. Whether you’re renovating the entire bathroom or simply in the mood for fresh furnishings, a new bathroom vanity can give your space an immediate facelift.

To find the best bathroom vanities, we researched dozens of options while considering
factors like price point, style, size, materials, and storage space. We also spoke to
designer Lucy O’Brien, owner of Tartan & Toile, who says that one of the most
important things to consider before shopping is the type of vanity you’re looking for.

“We love console vanities, both for their historical aesthetic, as well as their ability to open up the space and make a small bathroom seem much bigger without the bulk of a cabinet-style vanity,”

Floating Vanities:

Smart Vanities:

Customization:

Floating or wall-mounted vanities were gaining popularity due to their modern and space-saving design. They give bathrooms a sleek and
contemporary look while also making it easier to clean the floor beneath.

Smart technology was making its way into bathroom vanities. Some vanities featured built-in LED lighting with adjustable color temperature and brightness. Additionally, some had integrated Bluetooth speakers or USB charging ports.

Many manufacturers were offering customizable vanities,
allowing homeowners to choose their preferred materials,  finishes, hardware, and configurations to match their unique style and needs.

Double Sink Vanities:

Floating Mirrors:

Vessel Sinks:

Double sink vanities continued to be a popular choice, especially in larger bathrooms. These vanities provide convenience for couples or families sharing a bathroom.

Floating or frameless mirrors were often paired with floating vanities to create a seamless and minimalist look. These mirrors can be backlit for added functionality and aesthetics.

Vessel sinks in various materials, such as glass, stone, and porcelain, were trendy. They added a touch of elegance and uniqueness to bathroom designs.

Storage Solutions:

Sustainable Materials:

Freestanding Vanities:

Manufacturers were incorporating innovative storage
solutions into vanities, including pull-out drawers, built-in organizers, and cleverly designed cabinets to maximize space utilization.

Environmentally-friendly materials and finishes were
gaining importance in bathroom vanity design. This included the use of reclaimed wood, bamboo, and low-VOC (volatile organic compounds) finishes.

Freestanding vanities with furniture-like aesthetics were
sought after for their classic and timeless appeal. These vanities often featured ornate details and decorative legs.

Integrated Sinks and Countertops:

Some vanities came with integrated sinks and
countertops, creating a seamless and easy-to-clean surface. Materials like quartz
and solid surface materials were popular for this purpose.
